Multi-Instrumentalist, singer-songwriter.

My name is Louis Van Camp. I am a singer, songwriter, and recording artist. I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, but currently reside in Chicago, Illinois, where I am attending Northwestern University as a student in the Masters in Sound Arts and Industry program.

I grew up listening to music from the 1960s and 1970s. To this day, I obsess over the production, gear, and mixing of those eras, and try to incorporate a lot of that sound into my own music. I play the electric guitar, acoustic guitar, electric bass guitar, piano and keyboards. I also sing my own vocal tracks, though many of my songs are instrumentals.

I love soul, funk, and jazz, and try to specialize in those styles, but I also used to play in classic rock, classic country, and blues bands, too. Lately, I’ve been especially interested in lofi and chillout music.

I am always eager to collaborate and meet new musicians! Please reach out if you are interested in working together or need some music for one of your projects.
